Throughout the year, McMoms has multiple activities in addition to our regularly scheduled meetings. These activities include parties to celebrate holidays and special events throughout the year, playgroups, new member teas, and a bi-annual garage sale.
General Meeting
See ya' on September 23rd for this month's meeting. Same Mom Time, Same Mom Location! Don't forget the new Birthday Raffle with gift cards or the donations for our outreach project.
PS. I'll be coming to the membership through email looking for members to spotlight each month in the newsletter. We have some outstanding chicks with great skills; let's get to know them.
Playdates
Keep an eye on Big Tent as Leslie is hookin' us up at the Forest Park Train in September. We'll be meeting up there and will ride the train, picnic and if the weather is good, maybe we'll take advantage of our zoo memberships.
Heads up for October and a possible Alliance Airport Extravaganza. Costs will be higher as parking is around $20. Watch for more news to be posted.
Moms Night Out
Our first Moms Night Out was Eat, Love, Pray. A smaller gathering, but highly enjoyable and successful. Just keep an eye out and say to yourself, "I will make the next one. He's only exaggerating how bad it would be to leave him in charge of the kids."
Possible future MNOs may include a progressibe style dinner where even the men folk are welcome. We talked about the husbands wanting to connect as much as we do and yet, missing the opportunity.
Discussion Groups
We hold a small groups session before each general meeting. We put Mentor Moms at specific tables and split the new moms into age appropriate groups for tips, ideas and advice. From 7:00pm until 7:20pm moms can gather to swap information and get tips from ladies who have 'been there and done that'.
